Remember the Days of 1993…

Remember the days of 1993? The days when Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain were a hot item, Julia Roberts was the “it girl” showing up on screens everywhere and we were rifling through our dad’s closet looking for the perfect over-sized plaid shirt.

.

These were the 90’s - unexpectedly making a return to the fashion scene.

.

What better a time in history to draw inspiration for Quiksilver’s  “Pretty Tough” or ”Tomboy Chic” look. Denim ruled, over-sized exploded and messy hair was a must. All twisted together with a little femininity.

.

Dive into 1993, be inspired - it may cause middle school anxieties - but forget it. Embrace the woman you are now and pull out your boyfriend’s jeans, rip off the arms of your old jean jacket and lace up your doc martens.

Getting Dressed the QSW Way: The Cordoba Dress

The heat is finally kicking in and spring is in full force with summer waiting in the wings. One fabulous part of spring and summer is the musical festivals popping up all over the world. Days spent in the heat surrounded by thousands, rockin’ out to your favorite band and partying all night.

.

One key factor to musical festival madness is having the perfect “festival look”. Something cool for when the heat gets tough, something light for when the music takes over and all you can do is dance, and something fabulous so the “streetstyle” photographer can’t help but take your picture!

The solution to your festival foray - the Quiksilver Cordoba Dress With a hippie vibe, relaxed and slouchy drop-waist and cotton netting this little frock just needs to music to rock out.

.

Toss the Cordoba dress over your hot new bikini, grab a straw bag, squeeze your feet into some gladiators and you are one hot hippie-chic - if only it were the woodstock days….

An Evening with CC Sheffield

A typical Hollywood evening - picturesque views of an eclectic hillside, twilight sun warming a poolside deck, and beautifully eccentric people mingling about. This is a usual Thursday night at The Standard Hotel, a night hosted by our very own CC Sheffield and the Le Rev Revue.

CC bounces about with her little dog KiKi in tow. She starts the evening spinning some tunes and working the crowd into the ever so cool Cactus Lounge. Filling the room is one style cat after another, and you can’t help but notice every last detail of what the girl next to you is wearing. This is Hollywood, and in this room CC is queen!

.

A parade of musicians take the stage, each one endearingly introduced by their friend CC. After hearing a mix of croons - she finally takes the stage. Her voice fills the room and you know you are in for a ride - she is uninhibited and irresistible - just as she should be, she is after all The Lady of the Night.

CC gives us a shot of her Quiksilver Women’s Que Sera Sera Coat!
