Our second day in London began with sunlight pouring through our room, and walking out onto the terrace in the morning I breathed in the city! London.. sunshine.. and warmth..not something that happens often.. so I took it as a sign that there were more great things to come.
.

Those great things were Shini and Jennifer, two British based bloggers with loads of style. From the moment they arrived it was all fun. Sips of diet coke on the terrace, snapping photos and tons of swapping stories.

My favorite part of meeting with fashion bloggers is to see their personal style and how they put together the Quiksilver Women’s Fall Collection. I am always inspired by what they come up with!

Back to Europe and all the adventures Laurel and I encountered. When we last left off.. Laurel and I had just arrived in the magical city of London. The vibe of this city is contagious.. there is such a cool crop of people scattered around this city and we were smacked in the face with one of the coolest - Constance of Constance-Victoria!

Constance rolled into The Zetter Hotel with style and enthusiasm. She gleefully looked through the racks of the Quiksilver Womens Fall Collection and fell in love with numerous pieces.

We were having too much fun together and couldn’t decide on only one look, so Constance pranced around the city in three!

On a break from her UK Tour to promote her debut album “Telling Tales”, Leddra spent a few days at the Quiksilver House in Hossegor with her good friend and musician Ed Sheeran. With their feet on the sand and surrounded by the ocean and the forest in les Landes, this was the perfect trip to write a few new songs and recharge batteries!

My current fall must-have is the QSW Ragged Vest. It is the perfect layer to so many looks this season.

I envision wearing the vest with button down tops and skinny jeans, belted at the waist with skirts and flare jeans and of course when the weather is even colder… I would toss this over a military jacket!

It is officially fall here in California and to celebrate I busted out the fur (fabulous fake of course)!

Feeling the need to stay cozy and comfy I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and my QSW Complications Striped Tee, but always one to glam it up a bit I paired it with my fur-licious blazer!

In last months blog I included a recipe for lip and cheek stain made from a natural beetroot, which that got me thinking a bit more about the war paint I colour my face with.

After a bit of digging I found that make-up’s not always as cheery as those bright shades of pink will have us believe, as Annie Leonard points out in her short film ‘The Story of Cosmetics’. It turns out a lot of our everyday beauty products contain a cocktail of chemicals and I don’t want any chemicals on me, whether they’re proven to be harmful to my health or not.

So, over the past month I’ve been on a quest to find a purer alternative to all the powders and potions lining my make-up bag. However, many of the products I’ve found are expensive or difficult to get hold of and what I really need is something I can buy on the high street for a reasonable price - as I’m sure you do too.

Luckily, I’ve discovered UNE. Described as “true make-up” UNE “allows women to be who they are, without masking or changing them.” And with 26 products from lipsticks to eye shadows in 160 shades, who can say natural is boring?

There are also no genetically modified organisms, artificial colorants or synthetic fragrances in UNE products. A few weeks ago we headed to the Miramar Hotel in Biarritz to film some footage for Leddra Chapman’s new single Eddie. It was a long day, but above all it was FUN! we laughed so much, my cheeks are still hurting… thought we should share this moment with you all… and lighten up this grey Monday!
