QSW in 2011

Looking back over 2011, I realized that I wore a lot of QSW. So many of them are pieces I’ve used over and over.. and have a timeless, classic element .. thought I’d share a few of my faves from 2011.

I wore my QSW denim jacket no matter where I was or what the weather was like.. a staple!

I layered up when it was really chilly with great QSW outerwear.

I wore all kinds of QSW denim…distressed slouchy, cropped flares, and skinny boyfriends.

QSW jersey pieces were easy go to items.. a skirt while working at home.. or a tunic layered up for a quirky summer day.

White made it into the mix with a classic button up and an open back tank.

And.. QSW stripes worked into some eccentric everyday looks.

New Year’s resolutions!

So.. yes.. it’s the new year.. and that means New Year’s Resolutions! I love starting over and having a blank slate ahead of me. I make my list and I get serious… and I’m giving you a peek into my new year.

1. Tracy Anderson has been my go to work out for the last two years.. I still love it and I love the results!

2. Drink more water.. yes! Guzzle and quench with water.. not diet coke.. WATER!

3. Wear SPF and moisturizer every single day!

4. Eat more fruits and veggies!!

Here we go.. the new year.. I’ll check back in and let you know how I’m doing… so far, so good.

Lumberjack Style

Living by the coast, this girl loves a good sunset on the horizon, sand beneath my toes and the ocean breezes…but an escape to the snowy mountains is at the top of my list during the holiday season.

I love layering up and feeling the cold against my cheeks.. it’s a whole different ball game.. jewels, high heels and glitter are not needed.

Lumberjack style is my mantra!

I started with a bold and cozy hat, pulled a coat over my sweater and paired it with my favorite QSW Brewster Slim Boyfriend Jeans…finishing it off with some weather-proof lace up boots.

Thanksgiving through the instagram Lens

I don’t know about you.. but I love the holidays! I spent the last week celebrating with friends and family, eating deliciousness every night and shopping it up on Black Friday.

Here’s a peek of my holiday fun through the lens of instagram.

Finally got the fireplace up and running, and spent many nights cuddled up in front with this cute little pup!
Celebrated the beginning of Christmas with bright red nails, and layered up my looks on cold winter nights.
The Thanksgiving smhorgazbord was in full force this year and I stuffed myself to the brim, then finished the night with apple pie and a cozy fire.
Playing with a new hair style and some Lennon sunnies!

Snapshots of New York

I just returned from a week in New York, and I wanted to share a few snapshots of the whirlwind week.

Fall was ablaze in the city that never sleeps… the leaves were painted autumn colors, the rain drizzled down wet and cold and scarves and jackets were a necessity.

I loved and soaked up every minute in the city, but after a week… I was ready to see and smell the pacific ocean with it’s breezes and fog that rolls in every night.. that is my fall!

A fall look

It’s fall.. so let’s have some fun with it! Layer up a look that is cozy, casual and chic!

Start with the diamond dress, then pull on the Capitan flannel shirt. roll the sleeves and leave it unbuttoned. One more layer.. add theCaptain Canyon Puffy Vest and top it off with the cozy beanie.

If it’s not too cold, leave the legs bare and wear wooly socks with lace up booties.

Coastal Halloween

With Halloween around the corner, I thought I’d leave behind talk of fashion and dive into the holiday spirit!

Style translates from clothes to home decor, and for the seasons it’s fun to get in the mood. This season, why not let the coast inspire some pumpkin carving that fits right in to the carefree days by the sea.

Who says the coast doesn’t have seasons.. we can bring them together in one happy Halloween marriage! So get decorating.

parka inspiration

A must-have this fall has to be the QSW Hand Crafted Parka.

Its the extra layer to every look, and makes just about everything look that much better. There are so many ways to wear it.. so take some inspiration from the looks below!

Take inspiration and go tomboy chic with the parka. Pair it with plaid, boyfriend skinnies and ankle booties.

Give the parka a Parisian spin by pairing it with stripes. Belt it and accessorize with a bright and colorful beanie.

Simplify the parka with a simple sweater and statement frames.

Dressing up the Brewsters

Dressing up my QSW Brewster slim boyfriend jeans

To gussy them up, I pulled out one of my favorite bow-tie blouse and paired it with this vintage “chanel-ish” jacket. It felt casual.. yet chic!  For the last touch, I slipped on my bow-embellished pumps. They were a charity shop discovery, and I have a feeling I’ll be bow-ing up a lot of looks this fall.

Get the look: labor day beach day

Another look at some labor day fun! Your weekend may HOPEFULLY send you down to the beach, lake or any fabulous body of water that lets you cool off and unwind before heading back into reality.

So take one last chance to celebrate summer, and show off your summer tan in the Iconic bikini . Layer up your look with the Autumn leaves strappy tank dress and throw on a wide brim hat and sandals.

One last hurrah before summer ends.. make it a good one!
