Sneak Peek of Shine On video… Day 3 x

Day 3

Every girls dream! Having your hair and make-up done for you every day, and my team are amazing!

It was lovely having a fountain on set, I kept using it to cool down! I loved the building though, it was so beautiful.

Me, chilling in the shade..

It was lovely having a bed on shoot...

But the team made sure I didn't get too comfy and kept a smile on my face all day! Perfect :) x

Sneak Peek of Shine On video…Day 2 x

Day 2 of Shine On

This was literally the most beautiful place I've ever been, it was so so amazing being here, just nothing for miles and miles :) The Quiksilver team did an amazing job at finding the perfect location.

Take me back!!! x

My make up had to be just right for the close ups!

Right so for those of you who don't know, I have a massive phobia of wind turbines. Don't ask me why, I just do. So...this was a HUGE achievement for me as I would never go near one usually!

Look how pleased I am with myself! That was one of the best days ever :)x

Day 1

My team making sure my hair and make-up were all perfect before shooting :)

Trying to keep a straight face...

...But failing!!! Everyone just kept making me smile :)

Updates, by Charlotte O’Connor

Hello everybody!

Just a quick little blog to update you all…

So as you all know, it was my 21st party on saturday! Oh my days, I don’t think I will ever be able to top that party. Seriously it was one of the best nights of my life. So amazing! A big thank you to all my loved ones for sharing it with me and making it so special.

Then last night I went to Bournemouth for a gig with the RNLI organisation, supporting Benjamin Francis Leftwich. It was a really lovely gig, just me and my guitar…I’ve missed doing that so much!!! It was mega cool….and benjamin’s set was simply beautiful…I am now a fan.

My next gig will be in in preston @ 53 Degrees on thursday and it should be nice…..:) hope you are doing all well….I’m having lots of fun :)

Lots of love xxx

me and my birthday cake: it had kenny on it, some tipex, a piece of poo and a broken vase….PERFECT….best birthday ever!

Quiksilver Pro France backstage

The last two weeks were kind of busy for the Quiksilver women team, working on the new collections, touring with Charlotte O’Connor accross Europe, and working on aside projects. Still, we managed to come by the Quiksilver Pro France, not only to watch the competition, but also to take the temperature of those who were there, despite some cold foggy mornings and rainy days. And we found many Quiksilver for women products over there… take a look at the pics!

And to fight against the cold wind, we could see on the beach a lot of coats/beanies/scarves from our fall winter collection, which was really impressive!

Unfortunately the snow blanket cardigan is sold out, but you can find the other products here.

Tour diary in Madrid and Hossegor by Charlotte O’Connor

So the last time I spoke to you all…I think I was in Madrid…..and what wicked gig that was….even though I was mega ill …(threw up before I went on…and was having hot ‘n’ cold sweats)….it was one of my favorite gigs of the tour….such a lovely crowd ….seriously cool. Made me feel much better…so thankyou Madrid:)

Then the bus drove us to the south west of France….my lovely second home …Hossegor where I was to sing at the Quiksilver Pro France….

After all the hiccups with the terrible wet weather and everybody catching the flu that I had in Madrid…..everything turned out A-OK …..wicked wicked wicked gig….wicked crowd…and even more wicked after party…..it was that good..I stayed an extra 2 days!

I have had the most unreal time on this tour…I have laughed far too much…feels so odd not being with everybody…I’m so gutted I’m not on that bus anymore..:((

Thankyou to Quiksilver and to all involved in making this tour happen……in the words of “Dirty Dancing”..”I’ve had the time of my life….and I owe it all to …youuuuuuuuu ”

All my love…. O’Connor x

Charlotte O’Connor ’s european tour has come to an end… at the Quiksilver Pro France!

Last saturday was the last show of Charlotte O’Connor’s european tour, in Hossegor, for the Quiksilver Pro France.

Here are some pics of her last gig! Thank you for those who were there despite the coldness of the day and the not-so-shinny weather, it was really amazing, you rocked!

Tour diary… Ibiza and Madrid!

So this weekend…me and Lottie flew to Ibiza….I recently sang on a track of my mates…who is doing really well with his djing out there…….and people in Ibiza had been loving it…so they asked me to fly over and sing at the closing party for Zoo Project.

I have massivelly fallen big time in love with that place. I saw the best sunset I’ve ever, ever seen on Sunday night…and it was unreal to see my mates again….as they have been out there since June.
Such an amazing trip and I loved singing to Ibiza..

Then I went to Madrid where I had a gig… Here are a couple of cheeky pics for all of you from the Madrid show…

D

Everyone waiting for the show to start… :D

And I was interviewed by Soul Culture, so if you want to read the interview, it’s here

Nightime

Just thought I’d write and let you all know what life on the tour bus is like!

Well …I don’t know how…but I managed to end up with the smallest bunk…and everyone else has got king sized bunks ( I´m exaggerating …  a lot… but still …my bunk is tiny ) and I feel like I can’t change bunks now,  because I feel like it’s mine now…and I’ve grown attached in a weird “I hate you/love you” kind of way……its a lose/lose situation.
My bunk is across from Lottie..and Declan (my amazing hairdresser) is underneath…and then all the band are at the back.
Every morning I wake up and either me or Lottie will sing something to each other ..I love waking up and then laughing…always makes days alot easier I think ……my personal favorite at the moment is ” I’vvvvvvve beeeeeen dreaaaaaaaaming of my true love’s kissssssss ” from Enchanted …..

Night time is weird….I think because I have a lot on my mind with this whole tour….It’s taking me a while to fall asleep…and the bus moving isn’t making it easier…and my bunk is right at the front….and Deano (the bus driver) needs music on to keep his mind awake….and he has the oddest music taste in the world….one minute its “Atomic Kitten”..and then it “Meatloaf”….so all thats going on and it’s kinda hard.
Anddd in the last 5 months I’ve become a bit of a sleep diva…I need a pitch black room….no sound…and then I can sleep )
And now….because I’mm not sleeping till 2 in the morning….I just keep on annoying Lottie and trying to keep her awake so I can annoy her some more….and she keeps on singing out of her curtains “I dont…..wanna talk” ….( a classic ABBA song)
So as you can see…life on the road is tough …but I’m hard as nails….and a massive lad….so don’t worry about me )

having the best time ever…..thank you Quiksilver….I loves ya

Newquay, Paris & Ericeira

We drove down to Newquay after London. We woke up and saw a lot of stairs leading down towards the venue (and I mean a LOT …) what a mad load-in!!
Totally worth it though, what an amazing gig and the people were wicked. So nice to see a crowd openly loving it.
Truely an amazing gig and I can’t wait to go back… ahhh Lusty Glaze )

Newquay to Paris….had a really lovely day off in Paris; the sun was shining and we had a nice lunch at Notre Dame where the boys ordered a litre of beer…
big mistake!!!!

That evening we all just chilled at the bus park and the guys (including Lottie) had a game of football while the girls (me and Dec) sat and watched!!! The next day we headed over to the gig with another funny load-in, as we were unfortunately about a mile away from the venue…………
So we piled up all the gear and headed off on a mile long journey along the parisian streets! When we got to the Quiksilver store in Bercy, I started getting really exited; they have an amazing driftwood shack in the shop, so we set up the gear infront of it- it looked great with our palm tree thats on tour with us ) It looked so at home!

There were loads of people there and it was the start of Paris Fashion Week so there was a really good buzzing atmosphere!! Thankyou Paris…….
