Hello! Hope all your Christmas preparations are going well! This is such a lovely time of year to see friends and family and reflect on the year! Merry Christmas!!  Have fun and wishing you all peace and harmony this Christmas!

Here is my favourite Joni Mitchell song River, sang in front of the open fire! It’s the closest I might get to singing a Christmas song!! Hope you like it!!

i’ve been asked to write my Christmas Wishlist for 2011! So here goes:

1) Some cool new boots and some new trainers to go running in the park next year (optimistic)

2) A couple of boxes of Marks and Spencer’s Cherry Chocolate Liqueur’s (i don’t drink alcohol but make the exception for these-they are incredible and being a light weight I can get very merry!!!)

3) Tickets to skate in Hyde Park Winter Wonderland! I used to Ice skate a lot with my Bauer boots years ago and loved it!!! Would love to go here!

4) Obviously I cant wait to get my hands on the new Spring Quiksilver clothes, having already warn some earlier this year..especially the swan blouse, starry shorts suit and cotton white dress! Im an addict! I’m also addicted to anything and everything from the shop Accessorize and furry hats, which I don’t leave the house without at the moment!

5) Fancy Ring binder Note books form Paper Chase! Can’t live without my note books which I plan and dream and write lyrics in! Even though I Im forever on my laptop…its like using a different part of my brain and an excuse to get away from the computer but still be productive!

6) Some red boots for Mabel (my doggie) to wear for when it snows!!

7) Health, Happiness, Peace and Love for everyone.

Hello! I’m very excited to let you know I have a 5 track EP out on 15th November and we have made a video for the first single! The song is called ‘Change the way’ and we filmed it during our ‘Indian summer’ here in the UK a few weeks ago in the woods and park near where we live! It features our lovely dog Mabel and our favourite new instrument-the Ukelele!

Ellie is wearing the estrella dress and the storm stripe cascade plaid.

My Partner/Guitarist Dave Harewood and I have started a new You Tube Channel called Acoust’ed for acoustic covers of Dance songs and anything else we particularly like from artists that we meet on our travels! The first song we have put up on the channel is our acoustic version of my biggest Dance hit (which I do as a side project) called Wide Awake with Richard Durand! I wrote the song many years ago and re-wrote it in Amsterdam last year with writers and producers Raz and Adrian to Richards Track. The real version now has over 260,000 views on youtube and is played in clubs around the world!

This acoustic version of us in a park is performed with my new talented friend Tara Minton playing the harp. Hope you like it!

I’m staying at the Quiksilver House in Hossegor, France at the moment with my lovely boyfriend- guitarist-writing partner Dave Harewood! Having an amazing time and loving every minute!

We played our new set of acoustic songs at the Capbreton store last week and had a brilliant night!

We’ve been cycling around the lake and harbour and down to the beach every day getting as much sunshine as we can before we head back to rainy London on Saturday!

We are recording in the new Quiksilver Studio for 2 days before we leave and very excited about it! We have also been recording lots of unplugged video’s for our new songs! Heres a photo of one of the video shoots where we found an abandoned boat by the lake!

Here is a video performance in the stair well on the Board riders house! (great for reverb!) Its a cover of Ed Sheeran’s song Small bump, which I chose after asking people on my Facebook fan page which cover I should do! He stayed out here last year and performed at the Capreton store with the lovely Leddra! We will be posting up our new unplugged video’s through September and October at my youtube channel ellietelly1 and on my facebook fanpage.

Hello! I was recently asked by Quiksilver to perform at Pure, a fashion industry event in Earls Court, London! I got the chance to see and wear the Women’s Spring collection for 2012 so I jumped at the chance!! So many outfits to choose from I was in my element trying them on and singing my little heart out at the Quiksilver area and on the Catwalk stage! Loads of fun!

Submission period is over, but I thought I’d tell you my summer story anyway…

I have been going to Brighton Beach every year, ever since I can first remember! Its on the southern coast of England and it’s London’s nearest beach!

I have such happy, simple memories of the excitement I felt at laying out on a towel in the first heat wave of the year, listening to the bustling conversations of all the other day trippers whilst the games arcades made a thrilling musical backdrop.

.

As a child we didn’t have the money to go abroad for holidays so this was a very special place! I used to go there with my Mum, Dad and brother before my parents separated and then after that we’d go with my great Aunt and sometimes my Mum. Me and my brother would get treated by my Great Aunt to anything we wanted; all the rides on the pier like the ghost train and bumper cars and all the candy floss, rock and ice cream we could eat! We loved it!

I make a point to go there for a day trip every year, although I don’t eat candy floss or go on the ghost train any more, (ha) It holds all the exciting memories and nostalgia and still feels like a little dream place to escape into!

We played a gig at the Brighton Quiksilver shop last year as part of my tour and went to see the Tony Hawk show, in the old swimming pool, the same place as the pic above. Brighton will always mean summer fun and excitement to me!

Hello!

Had a really fun day at Musion yesterday with Dave and I being filmed as 3D holograms! I am the first acoustic artist that they are recording and licensing out for events around the globe and Its very exciting to be part of such a pioneering company and to know that our songs/performances will be enjoyed at events in many countries without me even stepping foot outside my house!

Other artists that are working with Musion and have used the technology are Will.i.am, Gorillaz, JLS and loads of others inc sports people like Lewis Hamilton and David Beckham! So if I haven’t name dropped enough, just before we started filming my old label ‘mate’ (when I was on Atlantic USA we had the same A and R) James Blunt popped by Musion to see the technology and was really impressed! Seeing it live is the best thing about it, and for artists its a route in the music industry that isn’t affected by Piracy!

On the day, another artist and his band were performing and being recorded and we loved it! He’s called Flute Box Lee, and he’s amazing! He plays the flute and beatboxes at the same time! The rapper Skrein and beatbox Wandan were really good too! Check out Flute box Lee in the youtube video (with over a million hits!) below the one of us performing our song ‘I know’ on the Musion shoot. This version was recorded in 3D!
