I like clothes only if there is a “body” that wears them. I use self-portraits as a very important part of my search. In this drawings “winter at the sea…” I was posing in front of the mirror, I did some very fast sketches and than I worked on details after. When every single frame was ready I combined the scenes by using photoshop that gives me the possibility to try different combinations. I think gesture and shapes are what really turns me on. I painted the final illustrations using the watercolors direct on paper. The narrative element is also a fondamental part. Every image become an opportunity to tell a story.

The story I illustrated for Red Milk is called “yalla” and is about love, jeans and palm trees.
