Hello! I was recently asked by Quiksilver to perform at Pure, a fashion industry event in Earls Court, London! I got the chance to see and wear the Women’s Spring collection for 2012 so I jumped at the chance!! So many outfits to choose from I was in my element trying them on and singing my little heart out at the Quiksilver area and on the Catwalk stage! Loads of fun!

See the video for clips of the show which we have put with a new fun song we have recorded called Ba Da Da!
Hello!
Had a really fun day at Musion yesterday with Dave and I being filmed as 3D holograms! I am the first acoustic artist that they are recording and licensing out for events around the globe and Its very exciting to be part of such a pioneering company and to know that our songs/performances will be enjoyed at events in many countries without me even stepping foot outside my house!

Other artists that are working with Musion and have used the technology are Will.i.am, Gorillaz, JLS and loads of others inc sports people like Lewis Hamilton and David Beckham! So if I haven’t name dropped enough, just before we started filming my old label ‘mate’ (when I was on Atlantic USA we had the same A and R) James Blunt popped by Musion to see the technology and was really impressed! Seeing it live is the best thing about it, and for artists its a route in the music industry that isn’t affected by Piracy!

Here’s Dave and I meeting our doubles! Guess who is who!!

On the day, another artist and his band were performing and being recorded and we loved it! He’s called Flute Box Lee, and he’s amazing! He plays the flute and beatboxes at the same time! The rapper Skrein and beatbox Wandan were really good too! Check out Flute box Lee in the youtube video (with over a million hits!) below the one of us performing our song ‘I know’ on the Musion shoot. This version was recorded in 3D! Many thanks to Sanj and everyone at Musion!!

Just back from the Relentless Boardmasters festival in Newquay, Cornwall and had a lot of fun! Boardmasters is held on a stunning cliff top location over looking Watergate Bay where 12,500 people attend the South West’s biggest live music event. Dave and I played on the view stage, which is their new acoustic stage.
.
.
Good old English weather threatened to pour down until an hour before we played but then brightened up a little bit. Not quite the scorching hot day we were hoping for but lots of lovely people still came to see us and support us!
.
.
.
Being non drinkers and non caffeine intakers we didn’t partake in the drinking of any Relentless drinks or vodka on offer but found a very cute little tent with free red current tea which was put-on by a lady who lives in Spain and self teaches her 3 kids in a house without an electricity generator which she has done for 15 years! She was very cool!
.
.
For the rest of the evening we were loving the sets from Plan B, Xavier Rudd, Seasick Steve and Newton Faulkner.
.
.
.
The beaches are gorgeous in Newquay so we made the most of it the following day by making sure to do some surfing with the Quiksilver surfing school and walking through the more quiet secluded beaches-avoiding the nuts magazine Bikini contests and the like where on 2 occasions I saw pink liquid coming out of some poor guys mouth! Oh the joys of alcohol- not!
.

.
This weekend we met some really lovely people at this festival. So thanks to Katy for booking us, those on Facebook who came along to support me! Really appreciate it!! Hope you had an amazing time! Thank you to Ady Webb for the brilliant photos of us playing the gig and Jen White for the videoing and Stacey for recommending them to me. Video/audio to follow asap. Bye for now,
.
Lots of love,

Hello! Things are going well in independent artist land on my label ‘Create Your Own Reality’ and things are starting to happen! I am very excited about my new single ‘Strong’ (from my album Lost Songs) being played on BBC radio 2 and BBC London 94.9
.
It will be played this coming Saturday 3rd April on BBC London between 7-8pm on a show called ‘London Calling’ where I am their introducing artist of the week! The station will also be promoting a big gig I have on the 13th April at the gorgeous Bedford Globe Theatre in South London! It’s for ‘Love Music Hate Racism.’I have organized the night and the line up myself and its going to be brilliant!!
.
Headlining is my friend Aziz Ibrahim. He’s an astounding Asian/blues guitarist and beautiful singer-songwiter from Manchester. He also used to be in the legendary band The Stone Roses as well as Ian Brown’s band! Then we have Park Bench Poet who I discovered online. They’re a mixture of the band Gomez and The Streets and have recently been played on BBC radio 1.
.
I will be playing some new songs with my acoustic band which features the new addition of the lovely Nina on Cello. My friend HKB FINN will be opening with his laidback poetry accompanied by beautiful guitar and djembe which always creates good vibes! He has collaborated with Nitin Sahwney, Roots Manuva, Nojazz and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
You can buy tickets now online by clicking above, at http://www.wegottickets.com/event/77031

We just wanted to take a moment to share with you, dear readers, a bold and obvious truth:
.
Music is amazing
.
As a source of motivation and inspiration, Music is always there to give. As we make our grueling commutes and pyche ourselves up for the tasks each day requires of us … as we launch ourselves into each new day, each new design season, each new adventure — music provides a wealth of mood and vibe to guide and inspire. Old favorites and new discoveries are in our ears to aid us along as we work though each design, or fulfill the mudane tasks that are required to make each design come to life. Music is a motivator, a positive force that pushes us forward towards our goal of creation. It has so many forms and diversity, so many layers and emotions … it has something to move everyone — both emotionally and physically.
.
Here are but a few of the sonic tidbits that we have stumbled upon lately, that are killing us with their musical genius. Check ‘em out …

Shot a video on Thursday for my song “Apple”.
It was great fun!! Started at 8am with Nicole and Lindsay doing my hair and make-up. Had GMTV on the TV in the backgroup whilst listening to the Kooks and Nicole was pointing to the presenters hair on the TV, which she had styled a few hours before mine!
.
Turned up at the industrial location, which we had scouted a week before and the manager there said that we couldn’t shoot there. Have you heard of a ‘jobs worth’ well he had the T-shirt, cup and book. We had to find a new location on the fly, and my wonderful production team of 10 people walked all around the industrial estate and found some where even better! Hooray!! Big and eternal thanks
to the very creative and professional Kaspar, (director) Twan, (producer and editor) Christine (director of photography) and all the hard working crew on this shoot. Thank you to Marta and Julie for the wicked clothes and for helping making it happen. We shot lots of scenes in the industrial location- like inside a big container, walking by the barbed wire and then we moved to the park to shoot the end of the video with my band, Dave, Hils and Giles.
.
Giles, my bass player, travelled all the way from France to be in the video, but had forgotten something: His bass! Not a big deal for our creative and down too earth Giles. He went off to the garden centre and came back with a Skiffle bass, made from a metal bucket, a broomstick and some string!! Look closely at the pic! (click to enlarge)
Here’s a video of the making of Apple.
.
We have a brilliant animator called Nacho working on the video and he will be drawing all over the film. Very excited!! We are aiming for it to be finished by August 14th.
